Problem

The Problem


Integrated strategies have been around for some time, but to integrate two or more test methods, one of the test methods may need to sacrifice a crucial test and replace the test with something narrow in scope due to this test may not be able to execute efficiently on the hardware system it is being executed on because of the restrictive specifications of the hardware system or the programming environment is not compatible for the test that is doing the execution.


To give you an example, the OEM is told that their functional test can be integrated into an in-circuit test. One of the tests for functional is a high-frequency signal from a voltage-controlled oscillator outside of the measuring capability of the in-circuit test system but this signal has a DC component. Therefore, to compromise, the high frequency is not measured but only the DC component is measured. This verifies something is measurable for this test. This means the loss of a crucial test for a crucial signal because of the test system’s restrictive capabilities.


Due to the restrictive specifications of the hardware system or the programming environment not being compatible, this could result in numerous limited scope tests due to the complexity of the board being tested resulting in a board with reduced test coverage. Another thought this reduced test coverage could be lower because of integrating the two test methods with restrictive hardware for tests or an incompatible programming environment.

To resolve this issue, IntelEyeSight became the solution. IntelEyeSight is an Intelligent Integrated Test System capable of communicating across multiple hardware systems and programming environments.


This allows both the Intelligent Integrated Test System and the Test Development System the ability to optimize each multiple test methodologies to integrate into each other’s test environment with no restriction on hardware specifications or program compatibility resulting in no narrow scope in the test.


So, any standalone RF, Microwave, ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Engineering Verification Testing, Design Verification Testing or Production Verification Testing / Functional Testing/Processor Emulation/Simulation/Self Diagnostics/Instrumentation/PXI or any x86 supported test can be integrated into this test system as is with no need to compromise on how the test methodology was executed, developed, or originally designed for testing
Furthermore, IntelEyeSight can optimize each test methodology, by allowing any test in one test methodology to complement the other tests in any other test methodology in areas where reduce test coverage in any other test method can be increased.


The resulting benefits of the IntelEyeSight Test System are increased test coverage, a higher level of test methodology integration, removal of manufacturing process steps related to the need for multiple test processes to increase test coverage of the circuit board, and the ability to use any test and measurement tool to include but not limited to OEMs and component manufacturer’s development tools for programming, test development, measurement, and test then integrate these tools into IntelEyeSight Test System as-is with no compromise in function.

NSight-Analyst

Nsight Analyst / Nsight Inspector


OEMs have always wanted to be more proactive in manufacturing their products. Sometimes our projects may not be receiving the attention we feel the project deserves.

In addition, this does not provide much support to the OEM to verify reliable products. To resolve this issue Nsight Analyst was created. Using the Teradyne / Genrad system data, Nsight Analyst, analyzes to determine history, modes, errors, failure modes, and other pertinent details.


In addition to these benefits, Nsight Inspector is a software option of Nsight Analyst that allows the OEM to monitor incoming material after finished goods that are in transport to the OEMs inventory to verify the product is in conformance with accurate testing and reliability.


With Nsight Analyst and Nsight Inspector, the OEM can monitor their product in the Contract Manufacturer’s facility and monitor product reaching the OEM’s facility. The OEM now has the tools needed to be more proactive in their effort to assist in manufacturing their PCBAs.

This option allows us to develop a module for your specific test so you will be able to monitor your test system at the Contract Manufacturer and take a proactive approach in your project’s development
